Pawfect Pals Pick the Perfect Colour for Your Pup!
Whether it’s on Instagram or at events, one of the questions we get the most is, “What do you think would suit my dog’s breed most?”
It’s a great question! At Pawfect Pals, our dog accessories come in such a large range of styles, designs and colours that it can be difficult to decide. So we reached out to our resident Petsperts and Ambassadogs to get their opinion. Here are three we thought would make a great start in what we expect will be an ongoing series.
Toy Poodle
Colour: Orange
Recommended Style: I Llama my Mama
Model: Mocha
Orange is a warm and inviting colour that doesn’t scream, “Look at me!” as much as hues that neighbour it on the spectrum. It’s perfect for pups who like to have fun while being content with keeping to routine. The ‘No Drama Llamas’, as we like to call them.
Mocha is one such llama... we mean dog! All that fluffy fur sometimes gets us confused. While toy poodles are a breed that requires constant physical and mental stimulation, they’re not the kind of puppies who like grand adventures or large crowds. In fact, they can be rather shy, and would rather spend their time closest to those they love.
That’s what makes the I Llama my Mama design a perfect fit for Mocha and his other toy poodle pals. Not only does it reflect their bright and playful nature, but the name reminds us of what they love most – spending time with their parents!
Cavoodle
Colour: Pink
Recommended Style: Classy, Sassy, and a Little Bad-Assy
Model: Jazz
It may be most closely associated with love, but pink is also the colour for fierce and proud puppies who aren’t afraid to be themselves. They’re bold, strong and love to stand out in a pack.
Take Jazz as an example. Doesn’t her name say it all? Like the vast majority of cavoodles, Jazz is a sweet, social animal who loves hanging out with humans and other dogs alike. Outgoing and affectionate, she’s a loving puppy with a lot of spunk!
We picked the Classy, Sassy and a Little Bad-Assy design for cavoodles because we think the pink suits their temperament to a tea, while the hearts symbolise the loyalty and friendship for which they’re known.
Maltese Shih Tuz (aka Malshi)
Colour: Navy Blue
Recommended Style: Infinity & Beyond
Model: Harley
Navy blue is a deep, powerful colour. Closely associated with creativity, it’s also said to be the favourite colour of those with a strong connection to the universe.
We’re not exactly sure what that means, however it instantly made us think of Harley the Maltese Shih Tzu. This breed, which is sometimes referred to as Malshi, is a gutsy and wilful type of dog, despite their small size. If they can’t get attention when they want it, their cheeky nature means they’ll find a way to get it!
Infinity & Beyond is a flexible design that looks great on Maltese Shih Tzu, who come in a range of colours and markings. The boldness of the navy blue, paired with the colourful outer space scene it depicts, is a testament to the Malshi’s confidence and curiosity.

We have so many of your designs already that it’s hard to pick one perfect colour. Luckily Toro and Lulu are white and brown cavoodles so they pretty much match everything in your collection!
We own a lot of blue! It goes really well with Bailey’s white and caramel fur, and sometimes he’s mistaken for a girl, so the blue helps with that too haha!
Mocha looks amazing in orange, the colour just pops and the quality is beyond what you would expect for pet products. I have 80% of designs cause every time a new one comes out I’m like I need that one too!! I’m so glad 2021 my cat is able to wear Pawfect Pals too now yayyy!!!!!
