Make This Special HOWLoween Treat For Your Pups
I'm all for spoiling your dog, but one thing I'm not is a cook. So when I decided to make a special Halloween treat for Yogi and Lilo, I needed a recipe that was two things: quick and easy (and yummy, so three).
Fortunately, it didn't take long before I found this five-ingredient (or less) Strawberry Ghost treat recipe from BeChewy. I looked at the picture and knew straight away that I had found the pawfect recipe for busy dog mums who love their dogs!
I had almost all of the ingredients in my house already:
- Strawberries
- Peanut butter (we used the Sanitarium 100% peanuts because it's xylitol free)
- Greek yoghurt.
- You can use carob pieces to give your ghosts eyes, but I had none, so I used a drop of peanut butter instead.
Yogi and Lilo somehow knew this was for them, so they sat by my side the whole time I worked away in the kitchen!
All you have to do is cut the tops off the strawberries and scoop out a little bit of the centre. Put some PB in the centre, then dip the strawberry in the yoghurt. Place them in the freezer for about an hour. Grab them back out and give them one more dip in the yoghurt before adding the eyes and freezing them for an hour longer (or be like me and freeze for 10 minutes because you’re just too excited for your pups to try them!)
There you have it, the easiest HOWLoween treat ever!
Give them a go this spooky season. Your dog will thank you.
